I bought this last month. Worth the money that I spent

Being a A7c owner and loving the camera, it was easy to make the jump up to A7c2. All that quality in a small package. Takes you to the next level with the tech of the A74 and some of the tech from the A75. I love them both.

I love the Sony A7C II so much! I think its literally the perfect camera for beginners to pro's! This 33MP sensor is MORE than enough for professional photography, but the interface is also user friendly. I have paired this with the Sigma 28-105mm f/2.8 DG DN ART Lens, and I am SO IMPRESSED with how great the image quality is coming from the A7C II, as well as the blazing fast auto-focus and new features that frankly make this one of the best Full Frame Camera's you can buy today, especially for the price! This is really an updated Sony A74, with the same 33mp sensor - and the new A.I. which just makes this camera incredible. If you are debating getting this camera, i HIGHLY suggest you buy it! And if your only complaint is that it's a little too small feeling in your hands, remember you can buy the same sony grip that comes with the A7CR, or buy a baseplate from SmallRig, Neewer, or other great companies that make it so you can buy from to expand your accesories. I would rate this camera 10/10! The best thing about it is it is the perfect hybrid camera! It does exceptionally well in video, and exceptionally well in photography. You can't go wrong! If you do end up buying it, enjoy it! God bless!

This is my first Sony camera I’ve purchased as so far it’s been fantastic up until i found out I can’t use a wired remote shutter with it. I have a camera motorised camera slide that has an input for a wired remote to enable timelapse shooting. Take a shot move along slider take a shot and so on. Maybe a firmware update and the correct usb-c cable to connect to the slider will come available soon. Otherwise it’s back to Panasonic for me, sorry sony.I know the camera has a built in Timelapse function and can use a wireless remote but still doesn’t solve my problem of connecting it to the slider.

I upgraded my A7C to the A7C II last September 2024 and I am glad i did. The mark II now has an AI chip that improves on faster focus. The better sensor is also an improvement from the 24 the 33mp. More focus points (429 to 759).

Nice size, with the 28-60 lens is very compact. The kit lens is worth having but a 24-70mm at the same size would be better, assuming the same IQ. I like the focus stack and Panorama features, Auto focus is excellent with our dogs. Well built the only competitor would be the A6700, particularly in relation to lens sizes.

Having come from A7ii for the past 5 years, this is huge upgrade for me. It has a touch screen, faster AF and is lighter too. Love the silver tone as well!

I have purchased numerous Sony cameras in the past and this camera is fast becoming my favorite shooter. The product I obtain with it's usage surprises me to no end. Clear, sharp and impressive photos. Whether I use it in the daytime or at night. The photos are excellent when printed. I will not hesitate to use this camera for my professional jobs.

I bought this camera as an upgrade to my 6300. It has exceeded my expectations in every sense. While many functions are similar, this is a much easier camera to use. It may be years before I fully master its capabilities, but what enjoyment I will have in the process

Bought this as my "B" camera body to go with my A7RV and it has caught me! I reach for this one first unless it's a serious wildlife or sports opportunity.

Got this nearly a couple of months ago now, and have since been fiddling with it non-stop every single day! I wouldn't say taking good photos with a camera is the easiest thing to learn, but the learning process in itself is rewarding. I bought it with the kit lens and got myself several other lenses from third parties, and a couple of vintages which seems to all function well enough with the camera, love that Sony is giving its customers a wide range of options to play with. I initially picked this up as a side hobby, but now happily see myself doing this to the day I "buy the farm"! :)

A7C II is a good camera. Was able to mount my primes Summicron 50, Voightlander 20,40 fine. The fact that a large company such as SONY would do such cheap tactics is appalling. After 20 years of owning Sony Cameras both still and Video now you get NO Charger, Manuals, USB Cable, CD Software. I almost sent the camera back because of this. But I printed out the 500 page manual and started to read about it. Used your competitor Battery Charger, Cable and SSD Drive.

Down sizing to a manageable lighter camera system was my goal and with the full frame A7c II I think I accomplished what I was looking for.

I previously owned an A6000 and loved the form factor with the viewfinder to the left of the lens and lack of an 'old style' SLR bump to house the viewfinder. This made it far more pocketable and hence was carried with me more often. After all, they say the best camera is the one you carry with you! Full frame and 33mp in a package not dissimilar to a rangefinder camera but with interchangeable lenses; the latter was the clincher for me. I looked at other manufacturers, but their lens support wasn't as extensive as Sony or as easy on the pocket. And the addition of the front wheel on the A7cii means I can use the front wheel for the aperture, the back wheel for the shutter, and customise the third for the ISO. The results are impressive - with IBIS I've managed to hand hold at 1/3rd shutter speed and get sharp results. On other cameras I've owned, anything below 1/30th has been a gamble. Previously I have been a professional photographer, and this has outshone some of those cameras; the only reason I couldn't use this as a 'pap' camera is that if you don't turn up with some heavyweight SLR, you won't get a PRESS vest! Very understated camera and I’m looking forward to adding to my Sony lens range.

Absolutely love this little beauty. Joins my a9 and a6000 and very happy with the feature set.

Finally made the change from my bulky dslr’s after many years, should have done it far sooner !

I’ve been really impressed with this camera. I had a Sony a5100 for years and I loved it, but as I’ve got into photography more I wanted some more advances features. After using that I was certain I wanted another Sony camera. I read a lot of reviews, rumours and online specs before buying the camera so my expectations were already high, but it has easily surpassed them. It’s packed with advanced features and feels really high end, but it’s also very compact, especially with the kit lens. Most of all I’ve been really impressed with the stunning image quality. I’ve managed to take lost of shots I’ve been really pleased with. The kit lens is really sharp and takes great photos when paired with the full frame sensor. The auto focus is also really fast and reliable and is even fast with older lenses. The whole camera body feels really well built and surprisingly nice to hold given the small size. All of the buttons and dials are very well laid out and the fact that they can be customised is great. A lot of the reviews I read were critical of the view finder, but I’ve found it more than adequate and certainly prefer it to using the screen in bright sun. I’ve also been really impressed by the in body stabilisation even managing to take long exposures (of around half a second) hand held. Great all round.

The performance is great, however, I wish the handle was a bit larger like the a6700... Also, the ISO setting location on the back dial doesn't work. I kept changing my ISO inadvertently with normal handling. I finally removed that feature and left the "ISO" featured space blank.

A recent purchase as I was looking for something with a small form factor and this fits the bill. Great ergonomics although I did fit a bottom mounting plate unfortunately not the Sony one as it is a bit expensive. I am lucky enough to own the A1 & A9 and this is a great addition to my collection now I just have to save for the smaller lenses to go with it.

This is my first Sony camera (I am a Canon user). I am impressed by its performance. It is lightweight and good as a regular travel camera. The first photos I've taken are attached. I'm looking forward to taking more photos. I love this camera for its features, low-light performance, and lightweight so that I can take it with me.

After 20 years of using Canon cameras system I just had enough, as moving to new cameras requires adapter either way for the use of the lens I have, I decided I had enough on how canon deal with their users, draining none original batteries and forcing you to buy only canon original to get performance.. so Sony! The camera is Compact, the first time in awhile i am able to carry around my camera and not worry about the size and weight. It's light and powerful. I do a lot of photography in clubs and dark situations, and even in iso3200 the camera produces amazing results, my canon lens works so much better on the Sony then on the canon it is incredible! Including lenses that i gave hope of getting good results with. Also the following focus on eyes is insane, would have been nice to have an easy button to switch the focusing Eye from right to left, also easy button to switch between the eyepiece to screen, and disabling the sensor for the eye piece that close the screen every time i try to do stuff on the screen with my left hand And another thing i would appreciated, a printed manual, or at least an easy link to download a manual which took me a whole week to find.. really stupid So far figuring out the different functionality takes a lot of time but I'm getting it. It's am awesome camera and can't wait to explore more of the world with it

Just switched from Canon. No regrets. Sharpness and colour is amazing. Need to figure out if an E lens will end up giving me APS-C, which is not what I want! There does not seem to be much clarity about this on the Web. Also would like to buy an EF to FE adapter so that I can keep my Canon lenses.

Bought it for travel and EDC camera to shoot streets, people, food and generally wver9inder the sky. It's compact and light weight body couple with the ultra compact SEL35F28Z makes this the perfect combo.

Coming from A6400 and A9, was looking forward to seeing what this camera was capable of after reading reviews on it. Have to say very impressed from initial use. The bump in resolution, IBIS, and colours straight out of camera give nice clean and sharp images full of colour and detail. Editing raw files able to recover so much detail. Loving the swipe shortcut menu and fn on the screen, really quick and easy to use. Autofocus is super sticky as I've come to expect. Superb upgrade over my A6400 (which I loved for it's it' convenience) and whilst a little bigger, the added bells and whistles really shine. Only thing that will take some getting used to is new position of on/off switch toggle.

The touchscreen is a big improvement. The autofocus seems to be much faster than A7C

I purchased the camera because I want a convenient camera to carry around with me and I wanted access to the new AI Subject Recognition and Tracking, New improved IBISN new menus system and the upgraded 33MP full frame sensor.

Recently I saw that my brother had sold everything he had to make a change for the Sony a7c machines. He purchased both models, so I got to hear about their performance and features from one of the most intense photographers I know. He explores every feature and every convenience a camera offers. I'm not a professional like he is so I am allowed to make mistakes, but I didn't. The controls on the camera are easy to reach and it still is comfortable for my hand size. I enjoy the control dials to avail myself to shooting fine jpeg black and white when I want to break away from RAW. Thirty-three megapixels is still more than I need but standards are changing and I can able to cope comfortably with this. The touch screen makes life easier, although it would be faster if my eyesight was better. (Not a Sony issue) The optional handgrip is a must though I am glad to be able to remove it for tripod work. Sony lenses are a great reason to buy this camera! Being able to turn the sound off is a selling point for me. It's just noise!

I bought it to replace my A7iv which was a bit too bulky. the compact design makes it easier to carry around or travel with. It has great features and focusing powers are unbelievable. I am an amateur photographer and I travel a lot. This camera is perfect for me.

Like: features all time manual focus, Exp compensation button can be configurable, good image quality. Fast and accurate focus. Do not like: shutter sound, "image play button" and "delete button" are not responsive. Shutter button is not as sensitive as Canon 1D series, Fuji cameras yet.

Have has the camera a couple of weeks now and in some ways it matched perfectly what I wanted with its small form factor. I am a full time professional photographer and have lots of Sony gear but wanted this body for purely hobby use. However I am disappointed in four elements of this Sony body. Firstly the lack of a joystick is very poor in a camera at this price point but to be fair I was aware of this before purchasing. My major disappointment with this body though is that if I am using Auto I.S.O I can not manually select my shutter speed and only have the options of slow, normal, fast and faster. I wasn't aware of this before buying and if I had of known I probably would have just bought another A7IV. Extremely poor decision making from Sony. I guess they purposely decided to gimp the camera in some ways compared to the higher end bodies. Its a pity because I like the small form factor a.f performance is good and seems improved from previous iterations. Also Sony come on in this day and age having only one card slot is also a pretty poor decision as is the pretty awful LCD screen and the low res E.V.F. the camera also ships with nothing other than the camera and battery. It is bad enough that it does not ship with a charger but this body does not even include a USB cable. Smacks of Sony trying to make as much profit as possible!

I don't really know how to use it as I'm a beginner but I've had some good results already.

I brought this camera a few days ago and everyday is a new and better experience. I was blessed to be able to do a new york fashion week event. I was so impressed with raw power of this camera. How fast and accurate the auto focus was, was VERY impressive as well. I am a VERY satisfied customer!!

Was suppose to be my secondary cam for my a7iv, in the end it became my main camera as it was so compact and efficient. I travel alot for shoots, and this combined with my gimbal makes run-and-gun shoots a breeze. Rigging it up is also easy and doesn't take too much of my bag space. Definitely reccomended!

For me this is the perfect sensor size. The images that I've taken are Sharp with good colour rendition. I find the camera comfortable and easy to use with my Sony lenses. There is still much to explore but after 3 weeks using this camera daily I'm delighted with it.

Previously I had the A6400. The A7C ii is a big step up and only 100g heavier. 2 extra dials make it much easier to adjust shutter speed and aperture. Full frame gives access to much more choice, higher quality and faster lenses. Autofocus is much more reliable, especially in video. I'm very happy with the images and videos I am getting. Menu system is much improved, though still difficult to navigate or undestand all the options.

bought it in Dec 2023 and been really happy with the purchase. It is lightweight and really good for me as I mainly used the camera for travelling and street photography. Upgraded from a7II and really love the upgrade so far.

I bought this a month ago! And i would say its one of my best investment so far. I am excited to use it on my upcoming travels this year.

I mainly use my cameras on travels so weight and ease of use is my main considerations. My A7IV is great, but it is too heavy and I prefer a less chunky grip. The A7CII fits my need perfectly and I've been super happy with it on my last two trips.

This Camera is just amazing, it has everything of a DLSR camera into a compact format !! It's really easy to use and the AI focus feature is just amazing !!

Bought this camera last month, in term of price and features, this camera is beyond my expectation. Great hybrid compact camera with all the features that I needs. Love it!

Self timer in this camera is a joke. I not sure all sony camera did the same but once you press the button the camera will do the focus straightaway before the timer end. So it is impossible to self portrait. I thought Sony autofocus is reliable but found out the photo focus to totally off when surrounding so complex. Subject recognition no auto mode. Different subject must choose very specific which canon and nikon dont need to. It is very troublesome. No joystick to move focus point. Using LCD Touch pad to move totally difficult. Viewfinder and lcd not enough bright for noon or bright day light shooting.start up a bit slow. Sometime lcd screen black out for few seconds and cant do anything. Battery life is good. Compact and small. When in focus photo looks very sharp. Preview photo automatically go to focus area.

I bought this camera to replace my trusty A7III primarily for the compact size and light weight. Little do I know this A7CII has much more to offer, and it is versatile and packed with lots of features which A7III lacks, The revamped menu and touch screen is definitely much more user friendly.

Best travel full-frame camera, light and small, highly recommended.

Brought the a7C II paired with the Sony 20-70 mm F4 lens to Okinawa for our 1 week vacation. Used this combo exclusively throughout the holiday, in bright sunshine and drizzly conditions, in dark caves and colourfully lit resorts and streets. It’s the perfect combo. The camera is small and light, yet captured fantastic photos and videos. Took more than a thousand photos and lots of videos. Battery could last more than a day on a single charge. Happy that I was able to capture the Milky Way and a meteor with this little camera (coupled with a Zeiss Batis 18 mm F2.8 lens) from the balcony of our hotel. Only caveat is that it is difficult to play back 4K videos recorded at 60p in the highest bitrate of 200 Mbps on a computer. Overall highly recommend this camera.

I switched from another system specifically because this camera looked like it would be unobtrusive, fast handling, and capable in low light. I was NOT disappointed.

It feels very good, the light is very powerful on the night scene

Nov 2023. A powerhouse of a camera but could do with a few tweaks. I deliberated for weeks over buying this instead of the A7iv - in the end the slightly more travel-friendly size and updated AF features swung it for me. I come from a video background and current work is 80% video 20% stills, so ideally I wanted a camera that can take great photos but also deliver 10bit 422 video in HD and UHD when used on a gimbal or used on a tripod as a B-camera (or even a C-camera) and is a good match with my other Sony FX-series cameras. So far I am very pleased with the video quality from the A7C ii and the upgraded auto focus ability is proving very reliable - possible the best AF of any camera I have owned. Light sensitivity is not as good as my A7Siii (as expected) but it's a trade-off I'm happy to accept for the increased pixel count that allows me to use S35 / APS-C lenses in 4K / UHD crop without compromise. My photo skills are still fairly basic but so far I am happy with the results I am getting - no complaints there! The bits I wish were better (mainly relating to video usage): the HDMI socket - I would prefer a full-size HDMI not a micro, it feely like it's going to break with the slightest knock. If Sony had put the card slot on the other side of the camera there would've been plenty of room. Also the headphone socket is at the bottom, meaning it restricts the range of movement of the screen, and if you use a Smallrig cage the HDMI port protector blocks the headphone port - it would have been so much better if it was at the top next to the mic socket. Still no Waveform monitor!! I know this is primarily a still camera and histograms are preferred by photographers but if you are going to include such great video performance please, please include a waveform monitor - no video professional uses histograms. Panasonic have been including it for years on some of their Lumix cameras so it can't be difficult to implement. Touch Icons: (on-screen touch buttons) a nice idea but it needs to be customisable to be truly useful. Specifically I'd like the option to remove some of the icons so they don't get accidentally activated - things like the Record button or Focus Map for instance. And why can't I assign the Headphone Level to a shortcut function button or the FN menu? I can assign the Rec Level but not the Headphone Level. (This is as far as I know a thing across the whole Alpha range, not exclusively the A7Cii). In summary: a great stills camera and a very good video camera. There's room for improvement, some of which could be a simple firmware update. If you're purely into stills photography the A7iv might still be the best option? - or if you're not in a hurry wait for the A7v to be released and see what it offers?

I have been a user of original A7C for two years. Improved in many aspects as YouTubers' reviews. Highly recommended to those who wants a compact full-frame camera. I was unbelievably able to take more than 2,000 photo shots (JPEG only) with Sony FE70-200 G2 at 25-28 degrees Celsius for two hours until the memory card went full, by only a full-charged new battery, which was much more than the catalogue spec.

Compare to my old camera a7c , this new version a7c ii Battery drains faster.

is not so light when pair with 20-70mm, especially when you upgraded from 6000 series. But is definitely worth it. it able to capture good photo in low light while my lens only can go to F4.

This product is so awesome ! I've just upgraded from a Canon DSLR. So I'm on team Sony now. Shutter speed is very impressive and the picture quality.
