The camera stops recording by itself.

Camera stops filming in the middle of the recording.

The camera automatically stops recording due to the following reasons:

    • The camera battery runs out.
    • The camera memory is full.
    • The maximum recording time has been reached.
    • NOTE: The maximum recording time is about 13 hours. HDR-AS models, however, have an SSLOW and SLOW recording mode. For these models, the recording time is reduced to about 3 hours for SSLOW recording mode and approximately 6.5 hours for SLOW recording mode.

When the temperature inside the camera rises after recording continuously for a long time, the camera may turn off automatically. If this happens, leave the camera off until it cools down. This process may take several minutes, depending on the ambient temperature. To prevent overheating, avoid placing the camera in direct sunlight and turn it off when not in use.
