The Live-View Remote cannot be connected to the camera via Wi-Fi.
If you cannot connect the Live-View Remote to the camera via Wi-Fi, try the procedure below.
NOTE:

If the LCD screen of the Live-View Remote displays the error number, refer to the following FAQ.
An error is displayed on the LCD screen of the Live-View Remote. -
You cannot connect the camera to the Live-View Remote via Wi-Fi if the software version of the camera and the Live-View Remote is not the latest version. Update the software to the latest version.
- Turn off the Live-View Remote and the camera and turn them on again, then reconnect to Wi-Fi from the beginning.

Remove the battery and the memory card from the camera and reinsert them, then connect to Wi-Fi from the beginning.
NOTE:

If the recordable memory card is not inserted to the connected camera, you may not be able to connect the camera via Wi-Fi.

Check that each side of the memory card is facing the correct direction.

Follow the procedure below, reset the Live-View Remote and reconnect to Wi-Fi from the beginning. You need to set the date and time after the setting is reset.

Turn on the Live-View Remote and press the MENU button on the top of the Live-View Remote.

Select and select .

Select OK.

The display disappears and the date and time setting screen appears. Set the date and time setting.

Reset the camera setting and reconnect Wi-Fi from the beginning. If you reset the camera, all settings including the date and time setting are reset. Images are not deleted.
- For the resetting method of the Action Cam, refer to the setting items in the instruction manual. Set the date and time setting after the setting is reset.
- For the resetting method of the DSC-QX series, press the RESET button on the camera using a thin-tipped object.
This camera does not have the date and time setting function. When the Live-View Remote and the camera is connected to Wi-Fi, the camera clock is set to the same time as the Live-View Remote.

Press the RESET button on the Live-View Remote and reconnect to Wi-Fi from the beginning.

If none of the above operations show improvement, there may be a problem with the Live-View Remote or the camera.
- If the camera can connect to the smartphone or tablet via Wi-Fi, there may be a problem with the Live-View Remote.
- If you have multiple compatible cameras, check that the Live-View Remote is able to connect to other cameras via Wi-Fi. If connection to any camera cannot be established, there may be a problem with the Live-View Remote.
