Cannot play songs on the Walkman player. (NW-Series Walkman)
IMPORTANT: If model-specific information is required to complete any of the steps in this solution, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the product.
Connect your Walkman player to your computer and use the explorer or some software (Media Go, Content Transfer, etc.) to check that the song data on the Walkman player is displayed.
- If the data on your Walkman player is not displayed even when connected to a computer.
There may be no data on your Walkman player.
Transfer song data to your Walkman player using Media Go, Content Transfer, etc., and then try playing. - If the data on your Walkman player is displayed when connected to a computer.
Uupdate your Walkman player’s software to the latest version. Your player’s software version can be found in the Information.txt file in the WALKMAN folder.
IMPORTANT: Before updating your Walkman player, it is recommended that you back up the data on your player to your computer.
If you are already using the latest software version, or the issue persists after updating, the content or database transferred to your Walkman player may be damaged. Reset your player’s memory and re-transfer all backed-up content to your Walkman player.
NOTE: If the issue is still unresolved after completing all of the troubleshooting steps, service will be required.
