Noise is heard from the LinkBuds

    Follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:

    Before you start

    For LinkBuds only: Update the headphones' software to the latest version. Doing so may resolve the issue. Perform the update before proceeding.

    Solution

    1. Select the situation that best describes when the noise occurs:
      While playing music

      Go to step 5.
      While talking on the phone

      Go to step 2.
    2. Select the device that you are using:
      Computer
      Go to step 3.
      Something other than a computer (such as a smartphone etc.)
      Go to step 4.
    3. Check the following:
      The issue is resolved
      The ambient sound or the computer's settings may have been the cause.
      The issue is not resolved
      Go to step 5.
    4. Try speaking louder, or use the headphones in a quieter place.
      The issue is resolved
      The ambient sound may have been the cause.
      The issue is not resolved
      Go to step 5.
    5. Set the headphones in the charging case, close the lid, wait for a few seconds, and then wear the headphones again.
      The issue is resolved
      The issue may have been caused by a temporary malfunction of the headphones.
      The issue is not resolved
      Go to the next troubleshooting step.
    6. Try the following procedure, and check if the issue is resolved.
      1. Reset (restart) the playback device.
        Since the playback device may be temporarily malfunctioning, turn off the device once, and turn it on again.
      2. Delete the Bluetooth device information of your playback device.
        For details on how to delete the Bluetooth device information, refer to the article How to delete the Bluetooth device information of your playback device.
      3. Refer to the appropriate article to perform the pairing again:

        The issue is resolved

      The issue may have been caused by the Bluetooth device settings or a temporary malfunction.
      The issue is not resolved
      Go to the next troubleshooting step.
    7. Reset the headphones.

      The issue may have been caused by a temporary malfunction of the headphones.
      The issue is not resolved
      Go to the next troubleshooting step.
    8. Initialize the headphones and pair them with the playback device again.
      1. Initialize the headphones.
        Note: Initialization returns the headphones to the factory settings and all Bluetooth pairing information is deleted.

      2. Refer to the appropriate article to perform the pairing again:

        The issue is resolved

      The issue may have been caused by a temporary malfunction of the headphones or the playback device.
      The issue is not resolved
      The headphones may be malfunctioning, and service may be required.
