The edges of the image at the wide-angle side of the zoom appear to be distorted.

    As a characteristic of the wide-angle side of a zoom lens or a wide-angle prime lens, distortions appear around the edges of images.
    If the distortions bother you, it is recommended that you position the subject in the center or set the focal length to the telephoto side while moving away from the subject if you are using a zoom lens.
