When the camera is connected via HDMI to an external device, during movie recording no image appears on the camera monitor.

When recording XAVC S 4K movies on a memory card inserted in the camera, the image may not be displayed on the external monitor or the camera’s monitor, depending on the settings for Proxy movie recording.

To resolve this, set the Proxy Recording setting to the appropriate parameter according to usage. For some models, if you set Proxy Recording to Off and Record Setting to 24p, the image will be displayed on the screen of both the external monitor and the camera.

Note: The available file formats differ depending on the camera model. For details, refer to the camera Operating Instructions or Help Guide
