The images stored in my memory card cannot be imported into my computer using PlayMemories Home.

If the memory card inserted to the computer directly is not recognized
If an SD/microSD memory card inserted into the computer’s memory card slot does not appear under PC or Computer, remove the memory card and check that it is facing in the correct direction before reinserting it. Once you have confirmed that the memory card is oriented and inserted correctly, try restarting the computer. If the computer fails to recognize the memory card even though the camera is recognizing it, contact the manufacturer of the computer.

If movies in formats such as AVCHD or XAVC S cannot be imported even though still images can be imported
When you import movies in formats such as AVCHD or XAVC S, connect the camera with the computer by USB and perform the device recognition.
NOTE: If you import movies to the computer by inserting the memory card to the computer directly, you need to perform the device recognition the first time only.
Still images and MP4 movies can be imported even if you do not perform the device recognition.If you perform the device recognition once, you can import movies to the computer by inserting the memory card directly to the memory card slot of the computer from the next time. The same applies when you use a card reader.
If you cannot perform the device recognition properly and import movies, even if you connect the camera with the computer by USB, refer to the related Q&A shown below.

When using an SDXC memory card
WARNING: There is a risk of data loss.
Do you want to format it now? appears, select No or Cancel. Once you format the card, you will not be able to use the card as an SDXC memory card and all data on the card will be erased.
NOTE: Cameras that support the XAVC S (MP4) format used for 4K movie require SDXC memory cards with a speed class rating of Class 10 or higher. For cameras with a 100 Mbps recording mode, use an SDXC card rated as UHS-I U3 or higher.
If you are unsure whether your computer supports SDXC memory cards, or if the computer does not recognize the card even though it supports SDXC memory cards, contact the manufacturer of the computer.The SDXC memory card may be recognized normally by installing the updating program provided from Microsoft on your computer. For details, see the following table.
