The camera does not auto focus (AF) when using a lens mount adapter.

Whether or not AF is available depends on the lens mount adapter and A-mount lens being used.

When using the LA-EA1 or LA-EA3:

• AF is only available when using a SAM/SSM lens and if the AF/MF switch on the lens is set to AF.
• AF does not operate at all during movie recording; only manual focus can be used.

When using the LA-EA2 or LA-EA4:

• If the lens has an AF/MF switch make sure it is set to AF.
• If there is no AF/MF switch on the lens, press the FOCUS button on the camera.

NOTE: Single-shot (AF-S) or Continuous (AF-C) can be used when recording still images.
