I want to convert the file format and bit rate of songs using Media Go only when transferring them to my Walkman.

You can change the settings of Media Go to convert all songs or only specified songs when transferring them to your Walkman.

NOTE: A list of devices supported for use with the Media Go software is available at: https://mediago.sony.com/enu/supported-devices/.
The Media Go software may also work with other devices not on this list. However, we cannot guarantee operation if they are not on the list.

Converting the file format and bit rate of all songs when transferring them

1. Connect your Walkman to your computer.
2. Click Tools - Preferences in the menu displayed at the top of the Media Go screen.
3. Click Devices in the Preferences menu displayed on the left side of the screen.
4. The connected Walkman is displayed on the right side of the Preferences screen.
     Click the Walkman to transfer songs to with the format converted, and then click Device Preferences....
5. On the WALKMAN Preferences screen, click Audio in the menu displayed on the left side of the screen.
6. Select the desired format and quality from the right side of the screen and click OK.

From the next time you transfer songs to the specified Walkman, Media Go converts the songs to the format that you have set.

Converting the file format and bit rate of specified songs when transferring them

1. Connect your Walkman to your computer.
2. Right-click on the song that you want to transfer in the converted format, and drag and drop it onto the name of your Walkman displayed in the menu on the left.
3. Select Advanced Transfer from the shortcut menu.
4. Select the desired file format and click the Transfer button.
