Error: 400/404, the YouTube app does not launch on a Blu-ray player
If Error 400/404 is displayed when you try to launch the YouTube app, update the Internet Service.
Note: These symptoms are not failures of Blu-ray Disc Players and Blu-ray Disc Home Theater Systems.
Updating the service:
- Select the YouTube app icon on the Home screen.
- Press the OPTION button on the remote control.
- Select Update Service or Update List from the displayed menu, and press the ENTER button on the remote control.
- When “The Internet content is ready.” is displayed, select Close and press the ENTER button on the remote control.
- Check if the YouTube app can launch.
NOTE: If the issue is not resolved even after updating the service, perform Initialize Personal Information.
Initializing personal information:
IMPORTANT: When you initialize personal information, the login information and communication settings of the network service are reset. You will be required configure settings again, so have the necessary information such as wireless LAN connections settings ready before initializing.
- Select Setup.
- Select Resetting.
- Select Initialize Personal Information, and press the ENTER button on the remote control.
- When the precautions are displayed, select OK, and press the ENTER button on the remote control.
- Select Close and press the ENTER button on the remote control when Initialization complete is displayed.
- Use the Return button on the remote control to return to settings.
- Select Network Setting.
- Select Internet Settings.
- Configure the network settings.
- Use the HOME button on the remote control to return to the Home screen.
- Select Featured Apps and press the ENTER button on the remote control.
NOTE: If recommended apps are not displayed, try the following:
- Select Video.
- Select Internet Video and press the ENTER button on the remote control.
- When the END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT is displayed.
- Select Agree and Next, and press the ENTER button on the remote control.
- Check if the YouTube app can launch.
