Can A-mount lenses be used with E-mount cameras?
By using the LA-EA1, LA-EA2, LA-EA3 or LA-EA4 mount adapter, A-mount lenses made for DSLR, SLT and ILCA cameras be used with the E-mount cameras. However, the Sony teleconverters (SAL-14TC and SAL-20TC) are not compatible with the mount adapter.
IMPORTANT:
- For the LA-EA1, a firmware update is required.
- The firmware update provides Auto Focus (AF) capabilities when using SAM/SSM lenses. Firmware updates are available for download online.
