Pressing the focus hold button has no effect and when using the focus mode or shake compensation switch, the display and operation of the camera do not match. Is this a malfunction?
Focus hold button is not working
The focus hold button is not supported on any camera. When using the ILCE-7 or ILCE-7R it is necessary to upgrade the firmware to version 1.02.
When using the focus mode or shake compensation switch, some displays on the camera like focus distance, shake compensation indicator or the focus mode display (AF/MF) may not match the button setting on the lens.
This is not a malfunction. Please check if a firmware update is available on the product support site.
