Sony guarantees normal operation of the CD/RW or DVD drive with specific models of VAIO computers only. It is recommended to use only the designated CD/RW or DVD drive listed by the computer manufacturers. The warranty of the CD/RW or DVD drive supplied with the VAIO computer will be voided if it is used with other VAIO models that are not specified by Sony.
The PCGA-CD51/A CD-ROM drive is also available as an optional accessory. Sony guarantees normal operation of the CD-ROM drive with VAIO models that comes with the driver installed.
