Volume level shows a different value for the TV and the Sound Bar.
IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check the Applicable Products and Categories section of this article before starting these steps.
There is a difference in the way the volume value of the Sound Bar and the connected TV is displayed, and the difference in the values can be seen when:
- You turn on the BRAVIA Sync/Control for HDMI setting.
- You switch the Speaker Output setting of the TV from TV speakers to Audio System.
For example, because the TV is designed to display the volume in a range from 0 to 100db, and the Sound Bar displays the volume in a range from 0 to 50db, when the TV shows 40 the Sound Bar will show 20. This is normal and not a malfunction.
- The TV displays Volume 40
- The Sound Bar displays Volume 20
