Preparation

Check the firmware version

If the version displayed is lower than 1.70, we strongly recommend that you update the firmware. If you're not sure, follow the steps below to check which firmware version you currently have:

1. Turn on the wireless speaker.
2. Open the Sony | Music Center application.
3. Connect your wireless speaker to the Sony | Music Center application.
4. Select Settings.
   
5. Select System.
   
6. Confirm the firmware version (numbers in red box).
   

Download & Install

The software will automatically update to the latest software version while you are connected to the Internet via a Wi-Fi network. If you get an update message when you connect to the Sony | Music Center application, follow the instructions to perform the update.
Note: The software updates will be delivered from time to time when a new feature becomes available or the update is required for stable use.

Important Notice

• You cannot disable automatic software updates.
• Previous software versions cannot be retrieved.
• Do not turn off or operate the wireless speaker while the software is updating.
• You must agree with Sony's End User License Agreement (EULA) in order to install the software update.
• The software for this product is automatically updated from time to time, and you cannot choose or refuse to download it.
• During the update, the Power (green) indicator on the wireless speaker will flash quickly. The LINK (amber) indicator will also blink at the same time while the update data is downloading.
