1. Check the following
Depending on the conditions, the sound may skip or break up. Check the following.
- Use the device as far away from the following as possible.
- Areas where wireless LAN access points are set up.
- Nearby microwaves in use, TVs, radios, tuners, and other such devices.
- Move the connected Bluetooth device closer to the speaker.
- Issues may occur if there are walls, people, metal, or other objects that interrupt Bluetooth waves between the speaker and your smartphone or tablet.
- Issues may occur if you are operating apps or accessing the settings screen on your smartphone or tablet. Stop Bluetooth playback when performing these operations.
- When connected to a smartphone or tablet, restart this device before reconnecting to the speaker via the Bluetooth function.
If none of these apply, proceed to the next step.
2. Change the wireless playback quality of the speaker
Note: If you connect the speaker to a computer for phone call use, skip this step and go to 3. Check the connection status between the devices section.
Use the following method to change the wireless playback quality of the speaker to Priority on stable connection.
Note: The following method does not apply when using multiple speakers simultaneously (Speaker Add or Wireless Party Chain function, etc.).

SRS-XB20, SRS-XB21, SRS-XB22, SRS-XB30, SRS-XB31, SRS-XB32, SRS-XB40, SRS-XB41
- Connect the speaker to the wall outlet with the AC adapter or the USB AC adapter, then turn off the speaker.
- Press and hold the volume + button while pressing down on the PowerPAIRING button until the BLUETOOTH indicator starts flashing. When the speaker switches to Priority on stable connection mode, the Bluetooth indicator flashes in white three times.
If the Bluetooth indicator only flashes twice, the speaker is in Priority on sound quality mode. Repeat step 2 to set Priority on stable connection.
Notes:
- You can also use the Music Center (SongPal) app to confirm and configure the playback quality (codec). Select SBC (Priority on stable connection).
- It may also be possible to configure the playback quality on your Walkman or Xperia. Confirm the specifications and operating method of your device.

- Connect the speaker to an AC outlet via a commercially available USB AC adaptor, and turn off the speaker.
- While holding the + button, press the BLUETOOTH button until the BLUETOOTH indicator flashes in blue.
- When the setting is changed to the Priority on stable connection mode, the BLUETOOTH indicator flashes 3 times in blue.
- When the setting is changed to the Priority on sound quality mode, the BLUETOOTH indicator flashes twice in blue.
Notes:

- Connect the speaker to an outlet using a USB AC adapter.
- Turn on the speaker.
- Press and hold the volume + and PowerPAIRING buttons at the same time for about 2 seconds. When the speaker switches to Priority on stable connection mode, the Bluetooth indicator flashes three times.
If the Bluetooth indicator flashes two times, the speaker is in Priority on sound quality mode. Repeat step 3 to set Priority on stable connection.
Note: It may also be possible to configure the playback quality on your Walkman or Xperia. Confirm the specifications and operating method of your device.

- Turn on the speaker.
- Press and hold the play/ call button and the BLUETOOTH button at the same time for about 2 seconds.

- If the BLUETOOTH indicator only flashes twice, the speaker is in Priority on sound quality mode. Repeat step 2 to set Priority on stable connection.

- Turn on the speaker.
- Press and hold the play button and the BLUETOOTH button at the same time for about 2 seconds.
- When the setting is changed to the Priority on stable connection mode, the speaker turns off and the BLUETOOTH indicator goes out and then flashes 3 times.
- If the BLUETOOTH indicator only flashes twice, the speaker is in Priority on sound quality mode. Repeat step 2 to set Priority on stable connection.

- Turn on the speaker.
- Press and hold the play/ call button and the + button at the same time for about 2 seconds.
- When the setting is changed to the Priority on stable connection mode, the speaker turns off and the Power indicator goes out and then flashes 3 times.
- If the Power indicator only flashes twice, the speaker is in Priority on sound quality mode. Repeat step 2 to set Priority on stable connection.

ULT FIELD 7 (SRS-ULT70), ULT TOWER 10 (SRS-ULT1000)
- Turn on the speaker.
- Press and hold the play button and the BLUETOOTH button at the same time for about 2 seconds.
- When the setting is changed to the Priority on stable connection mode, the speaker turns off and the Power indicator goes out and then flashes 3 times.
- If the Power indicator only flashes twice, the speaker is in Priority on sound quality mode. Repeat step 2 to set Priority on stable connection.

SRS-NB10
While battery charging of the neckband speaker is in progress, press and hold the play/call button and the microphone off button simultaneously for about 2 seconds.
When the selection of the Priority on Stable Connection preference is activated, the indicator on the neckband speaker flashes 3 times in blue.
When the selection of the Priority on Sound Quality preference is activated, the indicator on the neckband speaker flashes twice in blue.

- Open the Sony | BRAVIA Connect or Sony | Home Entertainment Connect app.
- Select Settings → Bluetooth settings, and set the Bluetooth Connection Quality to set Priority on Stable Connection.
3. Check the connection status between the devices
Check the connection status:
- If the computer or smartphone is connected to a 2.4 GHz wireless LAN:
- Try using a 5 GHz band wireless LAN connection instead
- Try using a wired connection (For computer only)
- Place the speaker and computer or smartphone closer to each other
- If the computer or smartphone is connected to a 5 GHz wireless LAN:
- Move to a place where the Wi-Fi signal strength is strong
- Place the speaker and computer or smartphone closer to each other
- If the computer is connected to a wired LAN:
- Place the speaker and computer closer to each other
- If the smartphone is connected to the line of the mobile phone operator:
- Move the smartphone to a location where the mobile phone reception is good
- Place the speaker and smartphone closer to each other
