We've made surround sound simple. Sound Field Optimisation not only calibrates sound based on speaker position, it also takes your room's acoustics into account, and your listening position too.
Speaker placement made simple
Don't worry about finding the perfect speaker position. Wherever you place them, Sound Field Optimisation calibrates sound accordingly, using phantom speakers to create the ideal surround sound field.
Set up in seconds
Simply plug in the Bar 8, connect to your TV using HDMI, and power on. With LAN, HDMI IN and HDMI OUT (eARC), you're all set to enjoy a new spatial surround sound experience.
Accessible for all
To help people who are blind or have low vision set up the soundbar, tactile dots indicate a QR code for the BRAVIA Connect app, which offers screen reader support. Tactile dots on the back panel indicate the eARC HDMI terminal for connecting to a TV.0

The BRAVIA Connect smartphone app guides you through initial settings, assists with troubleshooting, and lets you control volume, sound field and more. It also notifies you about software updates and lets you control a compatible TV too.12
