Under certain circumstances, you have the following rights under applicable Data Protection Laws in relation to your Personal Information:- Notification that your Personal Information is being collected. When your Personal Information is collected, you have the right to be informed that your information is collected and where the information is not collected from you, you have the right to be informed of the source from whom/which it is collected.
- Notification of security compromises. Where reasonable grounds exist for us to believe that your Personal Information has been accessed or acquired by an unauthorised person, you have the right to be notified.
- Request access to your Personal Information. You have the right to confirm, free of charge, whether or not we hold any of your Personal Information, and to the extent that we do hold your information, to request a copy or description of that record free of charge. You will be required to provide adequate proof of your identity so that we can confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your Personal Information. We may need to request other specific information from you to help us process your request. This is a security measure to ensure that Personal Information is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. - Request correction of your Personal Information. You have the right to request us to correct or delete your Personal Information which we have in our possession, where it is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date, incomplete, misleading or obtained unlawfully.
- Request destruction or deletion of your Personal Information. You have the right to ask us to delete or remove your Personal Information where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your Personal Information where you have successfully exercised your right to object to processing (see below), where we may have Processed your information unlawfully or where we are required to erase your Personal Information to comply with the law. Note, however, that we may not always be able to comply with your request of destruction or deletion for specific legal reasons which will be notified to you, if applicable, at the time of your request.
- Object to Processing of your Personal Information. You have the right to object to our Processing of your Personal Information where we are relying on a legitimate interest (or those of a third party) and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to Processing on this ground. You also have the right to object where we are Processing your Personal Information for direct marketing purposes. In some cases, we may demonstrate that we have compelling legitimate grounds to Process your information which override your right to object to Processing.

- Submit a complaint to the relevant Data Protection Authority. You have the right to submit a complaint to the Data Protection Authority regarding an alleged interference with the protection of your Personal Information.
- Institute civil proceedings. You have the right to institute civil proceedings regarding an alleged interference with the protection of your Personal Information.

Time limit to respond
We try to respond to all legitimate requests within a month from the date of receipt of your request. Occasionally it could take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated
Glossary
- Controller means the entity that decides how and why Personal Information is Processed;
- Cookie means a small file that is placed on your device when you visit a website (including our Sites). In this Privacy Policy, a reference to a "Cookie" includes analogous technologies such as web beacons and clear GIFs.
- Data Protection Authority means the regulatory authority in the relevant Processing Region responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with applicable Data Protection Laws, and includes the Information Regulator;
- Data Protection Laws means all laws and regulations of the relevant Processing Region which are applicable to our Processing of your Personal Information, and where applicable includes Qatar law No. (13) of 2016 Concerning Personal Data Protection and Bahrain law No. 30 of 2018, and POPI and its regulations;
- Information Regulator means the regulatory authority appointed in terms of section 39 of POPI;
- Personal Information means information about an individual, or from which any individual is directly or indirectly identifiable, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location information, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that individual; and where applicable, information relating to an identifiable, existing juristic person; and also has the meaning given to an equivalent term under other applicable Data Protection Laws;
- POPI means the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013;
- Privacy Officer means the person responsible for ensuring Sony’s compliance with applicable Data Protection Laws;

Process means any operation or activity or any set of operations, whether or not by automatic means, concerning Personal Information, including:
- the collection, receipt, recording, organisation, collation, storage, updating or modification, retrieval, alteration, consultation or use;
- dissemination by means of transmission, distribution or making available in any other form; or
- merging, linking, as well as restriction, degradation, erasure or destruction of information, and Processed and Processing have corresponding meanings, and also has the meaning given to an equivalent term under other applicable Data Protection Laws;
- Processing Region means the country whose Data Protection Laws are applicable to our Processing of your Personal Information;
- Special Personal Information means Personal Information about race or ethnicity, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, physical or mental health, sexual life, any actual or alleged criminal offences or penalties, national identification number, or any other information that is deemed to be sensitive under applicable Data Protection Laws.
