[Could not establish Wi-Fi connection with your camera.] is displayed when I try to start image transfer or remote shooting.
When [Could not establish Wi-Fi connection with your camera.] is displayed in Creators' App, it indicates a state in which a Bluetooth connection has been established (Creators' App recognizes the camera), but image transfer or remote shooting is not possible because no Wi-Fi connection has been established.
Begin by trying the following.
- Restart the smartphone. (Turn the power off and then turn it back on again.)
- On the camera select MENU → (Network) → [Network Option] → [Airplane Mode] → [Off].
- If the camera supports access authentication, select MENU → (Network) → [Network Option] → [Access Authen. Settings] → [On].
- From [Settings] on the smartphone, check to make sure that Wi-Fi is turned on.
- From [Settings] on the smartphone, turn off airplane mode.
- (Android only) From [Settings] on the smartphone, check to make sure that [Portable hotspot] is turned off.
- (iPhone/iPad only) In [Control Center] or [Settings] on the iPhone/iPad, confirm that [Personal Hotspot] is turned off.
- (iPhone/iPad only) Select [Settings] → [Creators' App] on the iPhone/iPad, and confirm that [Location] and [Local Network] are both turned on.
- If you are using a VPN app or a security app that employs a VPN, turn the VPN off.
- Bring the camera and smartphone close to each other.
If the problem is not resolved, try the following.
- Uninstall Creators' App, and then reinstall the latest version.
- (Android only) On the smartphone, go to [Settings] → [System] → [Reset options] and reset Wi-Fi, mobile, and Bluetooth. Resetting may improve the connection, but the following items will be initialized to their default values and will need to be reregistered individually.
- Hotspot & tethering settings
- Wi-Fi password to be used
- Mobile data communication settings
- Bluetooth device pairing information
- (iPhone/iPad only) On the iPhone/iPad, go to [Settings] → [General] → [Transfer or Reset iPhone] → [Reset] and reset the network settings. Resetting may improve the connection, but the following items will be initialized to their default values and will need to be reregistered individually.
