About the Information bar of Internet Explorer 7.0.
The Information bar is a place to display information about security downloads, blocked pop-up windows. It is located on the top of the webpage. If Internet Explore is still using its original settings, the Information bar will be viewed:
•If a website tries to install an ActiveX control on your computer or run an ActiveX control in an unsafe manner.
•If a website tries to open a pop-up window
•If a website tries to download a file to the computer.
•If a website tries to run active content on the computer.
•If the security settings are below recommended levels
•If user access an intranet webpage, but have not turned on intranet address checking.
•If Internet Explorer is started with add-ons disabled.
•If an updated ActiveX control or add-on program needs to be installed.
The following table lists the messages that might appear in the Information bar along with a description of what each message means.

2. Click Allow Temporary Pop ups.

If you trust this website, click here to allow scripted windows.
- Internet Explorer has blocked a website from using a small program (called a script) to display a separate window.
How to overcome:
If you trust the websites and want to allow the scripted windows, please refer to the steps below.
1. Click the Information bar.
2. Click Temporarily Allow Scripted Windows.
To always allow scripted windows:
1. Click Tools -> Internet Options.
2. Click the Security tab, and then click the Custom Level button.
3. In the displayed Settings, click Scripting and enable Allow website to prompt for information using scripted windows.

How to overcome:

How to overcome:
If you trust the publisher of the ActiveX control or script:
1. Click Tools -> Internet Options.
2. Click Security tab and click the Restricted sites icon. Then click the Sites button
3. When the Restricted sites screen appeaers, click URL at the top of webpage in Websites” bar, and click Remove.
4. Click the Close button.
*If these settings cannot be changed, the administrator may have restricted the settings of ActiveX control.

How to overcome:
The content may pose a security risk to your computer.
Please confirm the file to run.
Once confirmed:
1. Click the Information bar.
2. Click Show Restricted Content.
Info 9:

Click here to install.
- A webpage tries to install an add-on that has a valid digital signature
How to overcome:
Based on the signature, identify the publisher of the add-on before deciding on the installation.
If installation of an add-on is needed:
1. Click the Information bar.
2. Click Install.

- Internet Explorer is running with add-ons turned off.
How to overcome:
To allow add-on, close Internet Explorer and reopen it normally.
Info 11:
Intranet settings are now disabled in Internet Explorer by default.

- Internet Explorer detected an intranet webpage address, but intranet address checking is not on.
How to overcome:
To allow the computer to recognize contents from the Internet:
1. Click Tools -> Internet Options.
2. Click the Security tab, and click the Local intranet icon. Then select the Sites.
3. Show the Local intranet screen, and cancel Automatically detect intranet network.
4. Select all the other items, and click the OK button.

How to overcome:
To reset the security settings to the recommended level:
1. Click the Information bar.
2. Click Fix Settings for Me.

How to overcome:
To update the add-on, click the information bar.

How to overcome:
To install other languages:
Be cautious when installing additional languages. Some letters and symbols can be used to mimic characters in other languages, though the website address is different.

2. Click Change language settings.
